The Lake Youth Foundation held its’ First Annual Easter Egg Hunt Saturday, April 7th at 1:00pm. Even with cold temperatures and a little snow lingering on the ground, 51 children between two and eight years of age, along with parents and grandparents, came to Sweetbriar Park for a chance to find some Easter treats. Over 100 children had registered for the hunt, and a fifty percent showing under less than desirable weather conditions was inspiring! Children were divided into three age groups and hunted for eggs at twenty-minute intervals. 850 eggs filled with candy and stickers were hidden by the pavilion, on the playground area, and along the walking trail. A special thank you goes out to the Fun Bunch who graciously donated their time and egg stuffing skills to help stuff 500 eggs!
